    Tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis-containing vaccine (Tdap). All students entering seventh grade are required have had one dose of Tdap vaccine. (McKinney Courier-Gazette, TX)

    Children required to take new vaccines  Jun 4, 2009
    Students entering the 7th grade must have the tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis-containing vaccine if they ve not had the booster within the last five years.     New immunization requirements for 2009-10 school year finalized  Mar 28, 2009
    Tetanus, Diphtheria and acellular pertussis-containing vaccine (Tdap): Beginning Aug. 1, 2009, all students entering the seventh grade will be required to have one dose of Tdap vaccine. Students in the seventh grade will be required to have a booster dose of Tdap only if it has been five years since their last dose of a tetanus-containing vaccine.     "All persons 11 through 18 years of age should have a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) vaccination. Those who have not had that booster should get it.".     Combination Vaccine Safe and Effective For Infants  Feb 7, 2009
    The randomized trial was conducted to support U.S. licensure of the vaccine known as DTaP5-IPV-Hib, which incorporates diphtheria-tetanus-5-component acellular pertussis (DTaP5), inactivated poliovirus (IPV), and Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) vaccines. Nearly 2000 infants were vaccinated at 2, 4, and 6 months of age, either with the DTaP5-IPV-Hib combination vaccine (Pentacel; Sanofi Pasteur Ltd., Toronto, Ontario) or with the DTaP5, IPV and Hib vaccines administered separately.
