Cash-hemorrhaging Kirklin Clinic is closing its same-day surgery center with its orthopedic surgery practice shifting to UAB Highlands. The University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System's outpatient center on Sixth Avenue South will cease same-day surgeries on Feb. 29, according to sources at the Kirklin Clinic ...
