    Dingwall case prompts call to tighten lobbying rules  Oct 5, 2005
    On Monday, the House committee on government operations voted unanimously to call Mr. Dingwall, a former Liberal cabinet minister, to testify "as soon as possible." Some MPs hoped it might be as early as today. But Mr. Dingwall has informed the committee clerk's office that he doesn't want to appear until the completion of an independent audit of his 2004 expenses at the Mint, Mr. Benoit said.
