I have bipolar disorder (manic-depression) as well as insulin dependent (Type 1) diabetes. Both are chronic diseases that can be controlled but not cured, and both are serious physical illnesses that can have devastating consequences if not appropriately treated. (Sacramento Bee -- Opinion)

Is there something in the water that is causing a massive outbreak in manic-depression and other mental disorders. Or is it possible that we live culture of entitlement, which gives us strong incentives to claim some sort of disability rather than face the consequences of our freely chosen actions. (Townhall.com)
