Hallmark offers free skin cancer screenings May 7 May 8, 2008
The Hallmark Health Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society will offer free skin cancer screenings on Wednesday, May 7 at the Hallmark Health Hematology and Oncology Center, located at 41 Montvale Ave., Stoneham, and Tuesday, May 20, at the CHEM Center for Radiation Oncology, located at 48 Montvale Ave., Stoneham. This is a monumental health care milestone for our community, bringing the latest cancer radiation oncology treatment technology home to Cache Valley, said Bob Cash, Logan Regional Hospital administrator. Hospital officials say that more than 300 valley residents are diagnosed with cancer each year, with about 40 percent of those having to leave the valley for radiation oncology therapy in Ogden or Salt Lake City.
