It would take multiple viewings to fathom how Barton crafted this elusive shape-shifter of a dance, a madcap ride of movement and musical styles from klezmer to tarantella to operatic aria plus that teetered on the edge of chaos, but miraculously never lost focus. Barton created Jack's Bedrooms (as the title translates) for Les Ballets Jazz, and the intimate characterizations fit the dancers like skin. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
