    In 2006, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Prevention recommended limited consumption of northern pike and walleye caught in Vallecito Reservoir because of mercury concentrations that are toxic to pregnant women and small children.     Feds set fish shipment rules for Great Lakes  Sep 14, 2008
    Among fish covered by the rules are brown and rainbow trout, chinook salmon, walleye, yellow perch, lake whitefish and muskellunge, as well as bait species such as emerald and spottail shiners. The new rules continue requiring wholesale production facilities in the region that send fish across state lines to have the fish tested periodically for VHS.
